Stagebirds
Terms and conditions
These are the current Stagebirds beta booking terms. The cancellation, refund and booking-protection rules below are the beta policy that Stagebirds will use for paid bookings.
Pricing
Performers set an hourly price. Travel within the performer's stated service area is included in that price. The booking total is calculated from the selected duration; Stagebirds does not add a separate transport charge.
Availability and booking
Search results are based on the performer's service area and availability. A draft booking is saved to the customer's account but does not reserve the performer until the booking is confirmed under the live payment flow.
Direct booking
Stagebirds uses the performer's published price and availability. There is no pre-booking quote negotiation or chat in the standard booking flow.
Customer cancellations
A customer receives a full refund when cancelling at least 7 days before the gig. Cancellations from 48 hours to 7 days before the gig receive a 50% refund. Cancellations inside 48 hours are non-refundable. As a booking-error grace period, a cancellation within 1 hour of booking receives a full refund when the gig is still more than 24 hours away.
When part of the booking price is retained, Stagebirds keeps its 10% fee only on the retained amount and the remainder is performer compensation.
Performer cancellations and no-shows
If the performer cancels at any time before the performance, the customer receives a full refund. An ordinary performer cancellation does not automatically suspend the performer profile. A confirmed performer no-show also results in a full customer refund and suspends the performer profile pending Stagebirds review.
Customer no-shows
A customer no-show, or a venue that is inaccessible because of the customer, is treated like a late customer cancellation: there is no refund and the performer remains entitled to the normal performer share.
Problems, refunds and payout timing
A material performance problem can be reported for 48 hours after the scheduled end of the gig. Reporting a problem freezes performer payout while Stagebirds reviews the case. Depending on what was delivered, Stagebirds may decide on no refund, a partial refund or a full refund.
Performer earnings are eligible for release no earlier than 72 hours after the scheduled end of an undisputed gig. For customer cancellations involving performer compensation, the 72-hour period begins at cancellation. If a problem is open, payout remains frozen until it is resolved. Where a performance becomes impossible, unsafe or unlawful through circumstances outside the parties' control, Stagebirds may provide a full refund without treating either party as at fault.
